1776

play poster

I collaborated with two other designers to design a promotional poster for the play 1776. We devised a concept based on the second to last scene in the sixth act. This scene showcased John Adams, Benjamin Franklin, Richard Henry Lee, and Thomas Jefferson as they are drafting the Declaration of Independence. The six pages shown in the poster represent each act cascading to the final draft. I hand calligraphed the typography on the poster, and composed the photograph in my studio. This poster was picked by director Lori Adams, and was used as the main advertising of the play.
